Dear friends, in today’s gospel, Jesus climbs the mountain and appoints twelve apostles who are ordinary, flawed men, to be with Him, preach the Gospel, and drive out demons. He recruits them to establish His Church as the ultimate dispenser of mercy, channeling God’s forgiveness, healing, and compassion to a broken world forever. This same Church thrives until today. Such solid track record makes Jesus the greatest Human Resource Officer ever. For when he hires, Jesus does not judge by the quality of the cloak but by the purity of the heart.
