Dear friends, Jesus begins His public ministry with striking efficiency. No long preparation speeches, no elaborate ceremonies—after John’s arrest, He simply proclaims, “The kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.” Then, walking by the sea, He calls four fishermen with two decisive words: “Follow me.” Immediately they leave nets, boat, father, and livelihood. In these first days, Jesus shows us that the Gospel demands prompt response and radical commitment. When the Lord calls, there is no time for delay—only the courage to rise and follow. May we too hear His voice today and answer without hesitation.
