Dear friends, a leper falls to his knees before Jesus and begs, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus stretches out his hand, touches the untouchable, and declares, “I do will it. Be made clean.” Here we see Jesus’ burning desire: He longs to make us clean, body and soul. Yet healing begins with humility. Like the leper, we must first recognize our impurity, our sins, our brokenness, and then plead for purity from the depths of our heart. Jesus waits for that honest cry. When we approach Him in truth, His touch restores us completely.
