God Is Always There For Us
7 January 2026
Dear friends, Jesus makes the disciples get into the boat while He dismisses the crowd. Later, seeing them struggling against the wind, He comes to them walking on the sea. The waters that symbolize chaos and death now obey Him. This is another epiphany: Jesus reveals He is divine, the Lord of creation who commands the waves. The disciples’ hearts are hardened, yet in terror they cry out, and He says, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” “It is I” – in Greek, ego eimi, the divine name God revealed to Moses. Jesus is God-with-us, calming every storm.
